The many faces of Novy
Actually perhaps the title should read: the many personalities of Novy... Anyhow I was going to save this for like a thurs 13 but seeing how I have a movie tonight and really dont have anything interesting happening in RL, I would tell you how I came to be Novy and I came to be here in the world of Blogger.com....
It's the summer of 1998, I was with the EX and his brother and his brothers wife lived across the street. They had a computer and was online, after being over there all day and most the night he came home to say he wanted a pc. I was against it because I didnt think we could afford it and I was totally against us getting internet (then my dad died so I fell in a very deep depression and though I tried lying to myself (and everyone else) I knew my marriage was over so it only got worse...
the ex's brothers wife, internet name Kitty, being a nce woman invited me to dinner.
She also wanted to introduce me to the internet felt it would be good for me...
She chatted on geocities (yes this is before the yahoo merger). Kitty decided to set me up... First I had to choose a name. I didnt know what to choose... Kitty said well since you were born in November why not call yourself November Rain like the song...
So there it was I became November Rain...
When I first went online I remember having trouble keeping up with all the pms but I was having a blast. There was a woman that role played herself as a vampiress... She hung from the ceiling and would fly down and chase people with a spork, her name was Tea.
Tea also lived in Jacksonville and we got along great. I met lots of friends (psssst I meet my current hubby that night too) It was Tea who shortened my name to Novy and christened me with Novy... It stuck! Even when we met in RL they all called me Novy. Novy became a name in itself meaning something different.
I agreed to the internet and 1 month later was online November Rain or just Novy...
marriage failed /completely anothe story/
I went to Germany and met Fire. during my first 2 weeks here, he encourage me to get online (but not too much because at the time flat rate wasnt available and we were online through the ohone line). He encourage me to build a webpage... I hesitated saying I cant do that... .
Fire told me play with the pc, get to know it and what you can do on it... (Just as he has done in life he has given me freedom and encourage for me to explore)
He told me Put some of your poems on your webpage what ever you like... (this felt good because I always though everyone thought my poems were crap)
So one night he introduced me to frontpage and he made my index whit a pink/shells background (No matter how many changes I have made to it until this last time I never removed that background because he chose it)
So I chatted and I began building November Rain's World... which was the title I used since hey I was November Rain... I was in love with working with webpages and frontpage and geocities made it easy.... (later though I found it better to get my own domain)
Then Fire said why not play Nghtfall... Nightfall was a MUD (Multi-user dungeon)
No I am not explaining, growing up daddy was always saying, you own a dictionary and encyclopidias, so look it up- well you own a computer (or you would be reading this) so look it up
So I started to do some MUDing... My character was an Oglon named ... you guessed it November Rain... but I had to shorten it to Novrain... she was a gossip columnist among other things LOL
For those who dont know MUDs dont have any graphics. So my description was typed out.
We could add things after our name but not before. Only a wizard could give you a title and they were very selective about it.. However after 2 weeks of playing I came on to find I had been christened Nice Novrain...
When she became a wizard, I created an alt Firestar
Well I got hooked with whole role playing
So then I started with yahoo and joined the Waterpond... It is some fun RP... The moderators was Betty Boop and Fox... They didnt want kids in the club/now-groups so they listed it in the adult sectionbut it is g rated... (Although Fox can get naughty and twist things you say and I am one that can twist back, so most the time BB was taking her broom to us lol)
My character, because it had to be a carttonish character,I choose Black widow as the comic book hero but BB miss understood and my altar ended up looking like this:

sadly as often does RL came in and the groups though still there is almost dead
Then one day Fire was playing an online RPG called EVE... It looked cool and I joined...
I dont have my character pic which was cool but my altar for our guild forum was like this
Then we left EVE and played SWG... The Guild we were in at first was called the knight's who say NI and it was custom to say NI when you logged on or if someone logged on....
Well I had to be different so instead I shook my hi-NI! this became my calling card and part of my character... even when I joined other guilds..
I then began singing occasionally Shake shake shake shake your hi-ni
my character looked like this

with SWG I had 4 alts
I was a Mon Calamarie that was a chef named Starkiss Tune
A Trandoshian that made cloths name Sssserpinetine
and 2 others just before I closed my account and went to WOW
With WOW I have 4 characters:
My first was a Night Elf Druid who can enchant and is a tailor... Her name is November Rain
my alt is a gnome warlock that can mine and is an engineer named Novrain
a troll shaman named novy
and a Palladin human name Desireé
and at the moment I am guildless so no forum altar
other forum altars have included
my T forum
So my RL friend does live Journel and when I was looking actually sort of a online journel
He found Blogger for me... While here I got bored and did some surfing
As a result this has developed more than what I originally planned and recently
I have taken some other unexpected faces
don’t remember how but I found Fluke and he was so funny. So when I got bored (or a server crashed lol) I would blog surf through his blog roll. From there I found Captain P and Jon. Then one day I was bored and decided I would mess with Jon ….. (if you have never visited their blogs please do so)
Now if I do RP and I choose a comic book character it normally is Black Widow but Jon was fighting Vampires and though I didn’t know her story I remember my dad reading Vampirella (he was a HUGE comic book collector and had comic books worth bootels of $$$$$) anyway I didn’t know her story but I knew of her and thought I would create her to mess with him a little. (play the bad guy but OPPS turned out she is a goodie goodie lol) So I had to get into character and well the rest is as they say history
from there she had to have pals so now 3 new personas
